SWEET CHERRY AMSTERDAM
|
|

OAK FROM ENGLAND
|
|
Last year, at the Glastonbury art market, I accidentally bought some planks from a local woodworker. Among them was this oak tree that stood in Butleigh Forest, near Glastonbury.

THE RED BEECH FROM UTRECHT
|
|
|
|
|
This month also saw the return of several boxes of the famous 1843 beech tree that stood on Emmalaan, near Wilhelminapark. These boxes feature a tree engraving with birds.
|
|
|
|
The beech tree was affected by a fungus, which was the cause of its demise. But a fungus does create beautiful and vibrant wood, as can be seen in this unique specimen with two swans.
|
|
|
|
|
|

As always, you can choose the melody for each box and optionally have it engraved.

ON NATIONAL TV IN ITALY
|
|
Rai 2 made a wonderful piece about 'The Gold of the Sun' and in particular about the film music that Alfredo Sirica composed especially for it.
Mr. Eigenbaard's documentary, currently being submitted to film festivals worldwide, has become an extraordinary musical feel-good film, thanks in part to the sparkling music!
The film theme is also played from the Dom Tower in Utrecht by City Carillonneur Malgosia Fiebig and is also incorporated into a music box, both seen in the film and in the TV segment.

Rob is looking for a new workshop
|
I have to vacate my current workplace by September at the latest and find a new one! This could be in Utrecht and the surrounding area, but also elsewhere in the country. My home/shop is also closing (as early as August!).
|
|
For that reason, next month (end of July) will be the last online three-day event for now. It's still unclear when I'll be able to resume work. The physical store in Utrecht will also close at the end of July. Updates will be provided. here mention.

Suggestions for a new workshop location are very welcome! I'm looking for a space between 50m² and 2m². This could be in a creative incubator, a community center, on an estate, an ecovillage, or another unique location in or outside the city. Preferably somewhere with trees!
