Before the wood arrives in the workshop, a lot has already happened to the tree trunk and I am not even talking about the sometimes centuries-old life of the tree!
In Utrecht and Haarlem, the tribes are regularly sawn on the wind, it is almost impossible to get more sustainable! The tree trunk is then sawn, dried and transformed into something new in the same city in which it was rooted. But this is not always the case. Often the sawn planks go to a drying house so that the wood can be used after a few months, instead of after a few years.
